From:    FOP State Lodge

Re:       Vacant OP&F Active Police Officer Pension Seat

Date:    7/31/06

Due to the death of Brother Larry Deck the Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund will be seeking a candidate for an appointment to the Ohio Police and Fire Pension Board in September.  The Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio will be submitting one name on behalf of the FOP to be considered for this appointment.  The State Lodge has been in contact with the pension board and understands the time frame and the process for filling the vacant seat.  We also have been notified that the board will be looking for a candidate that is from the central to southern part of Ohio since currently the makeup of the board is from the northeast.  If any active member is interested in this seat, please send a resume to my attention no later than August 23rd.  Once the resumes have been turned into the State Lodge, the Political Screening Committee will host interviews during the week of September 10th.  If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me.
